At this roundtable, clients and partners of DataRobot will share perspectives about the impact of COVID-19 on each sector of the insurance industry. Discussion will revolve around emerging trends and actions companies can take using AI paired with strategic decision making. In addition DataRobot will present recommended use-cases for crisis situations and share COVID-19 research to assist insurance modeling.

  • Roger leads the advanced analytics team at Texas Mutual and has diverse data science experience across insurance, finance and telecom.

Chris Randall – Chief Actuary, RLI

  • Chris is an experienced actuary and insurance professional with over 25 years of experience who oversees analytics for specialty lines and financial products at RLI.

Michael Xiao – Divisional Vice President, Enterprise Data Science, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas (HCSC)

  • Michael leads data science, machine learning, & AI at HCSC, and has extensive actuarial experience in the health payer industry applying machine learning to build advanced analytics solutions.

Chris Condon, Ph.D. – Lead Statistician, CNO Financial Group, Inc.

  • Chris has spent the last nearly 20 years working in data and analytics for organizations performing work ranging from K-12 education research to insurance. He is currently the Lead Marketing Statistician at CNO Financial Group in Chicago.

We want to be truly customer-focused with all our 16 million customers, and to do that we need to be able to predict the potential behavior of each of them to put the right offer in front of them at the right time. There's no way we can be as customer-focused as we would like without the help of machine learning.
