Why telcos need agentic AI to adapt
These days, telcos have evolved from basic connectivity providers to foundational players in the digital economy. They’re transformation partners, enabling AI-powered experiences, smart ecosystems, and seamless connectivity across even the most remote regions.
To succeed as they transform their digital solutions, telecom business leaders must innovate, drive customer satisfaction, and find ways to operate more efficiently.
“Like a smartphone without reception, tools alone aren’t enough. We need strong collaborations like what we’ve found with DataRobot and NVIDIA. Their combined solution brings the best-in-class infrastructure and platform to make AI truly scalable, secure, and valuable.”

For providers like e& UAE, agentic AI helps expand beyond connectivity to meet evolving consumer lifestyles, bringing advanced solutions to enterprises and innovating technologies like AI, private networks, and autonomous vehicles.
Here’s how agentic AI helps e& UAE adapt fast and turn pressures into opportunities.
The e& UAE AI factory, accelerated by NVIDIA
e& UAE advances its goals through its very own AI factory — an evolving initiative to test, deploy, and scale agentic AI across the business. This self-managed platform is built on the NVIDIA Enterprise AI Factory validated design, combining NVIDIA’s AI Infrastructure with the DataRobot Agent Workforce Platform to deliver fully integrated agentic AI.
With NVIDIA AI Enterprise embedded into DataRobot, e& UAE gains access to GPU-optimized components like NVIDIA NIM for model deployment and NVIDIA NeMo for custom language models. They also leverage AI Blueprints and a library of validated predictive and generative AI tools to rapidly develop telecom use cases.
This integrated solution helps telcos like e& UAE move from individual AI projects to a true agentic workforce, delivering AI experiences that are seamless, scalable, and production-ready.
Empowering citizen data scientists
At e& UAE, a focused push to expand agentic AI companywide is driven via an initiative called CitizenX. This cross-departmental program helps turn business users into empowered citizen data scientists. They’re supported with tools, training, and a governed ecosystem that unifies model development.
With internal hackathons, users get first-hand training on building their own agents and delivering agentic AI applications quickly. The output of these hackathons provides leadership with rapid views into agentic AI solutions for their most critical use cases.
Delivering mission-critical use cases across the business
With IT teams, AI practitioners, and business users collaborating together to develop agentic AI solutions, e& UAE is able to move past infrastructure and tooling, and focus on delivering agentic solutions to:
- Proactive credit risk mitigation
- Customer segmentation and next-best offer analysis
- Smarter network planning with real-time forecasting
- Better financial planning with revenue assurance and anomaly detection
- Content strategy optimization
For these types of challenges, and more, e& UAE gained real-time decision-making capabilities, data governance, and infrastructure efficiency — deployed securely and at scale.
An inside look with Adnan Kashwani, VP Cloud & Infrastructure Management, e& UAE
Adnan Kashwani, VP of Cloud & Infrastructure Management, offers a look into how agentic AI is shaping the future at e&.
“We needed structure and consistency across our many AI initiatives. DataRobot and NVIDIA help us ensure control and trust as we scale through our CitizenX initiative.”

VP Cloud & Infrastructure Management, e& UAE
What prompted your engagement with DataRobot?
We needed structure and consistency across our many AI initiatives. DataRobot and NVIDIA help us ensure control and trust as we scale through our CitizenX initiative.
How are business teams involved in AI at e&?
They’re leading it and accelerating adoption. Most hackathon use cases came from business teams — not the data team — which shows cultural transformation in action.
We established our CitizenX program and citizen data science teams to leverage DataRobot to accelerate our AI adoption and deepen our AI culture across e&.
What’s your approach to agentic AI?
We build with a governance-first mindset, allowing freedom to innovate while keeping systems pluggable and manageable.
How does this initiative enable your AI goals?
Like a smartphone without reception, tools alone aren’t enough. We need strong collaborations like what we’ve found with DataRobot and NVIDIA. Their combined solution brings the best-in-class infrastructure and platform to make AI truly scalable, secure, and valuable.
What advice would you give others?
Focus on value realization, not just building models. Also invest in skilling current employees, partners, and fresh graduates, who all play a role.
What’s an example of a high-value agentic AI use case you’ve deployed? What value are you seeing from it?
Our efforts in customer value management (CVM) have directly impacted revenue while personalizing customer engagement.
How do you balance innovation speed with control?
We operate under a governance umbrella, giving teams flexibility while maintaining standards and oversight to prevent chaos.
What regulatory challenges did you face?
Data sovereignty was a critical requirement — not just local hosting, but full operational control in line with national regulations. We needed complete oversight while still enabling access to the latest AI tools. Now, we remain in control of our infrastructure and data and ensure security and flexibility as technology advances.
