BOSTON, March 12, 2019 — DataRobot, the leader in automated machine learning, today announced that Senior Director of Product Marketing Jen Underwood will be presenting at the 2019 Gartner Data & Analytics Summit, taking place March 18-21 in Orlando, Florida. DataRobot’s Senior Director of Product Marketing, Colin Priest, will also participate in an on-stage data science and machine learning showcase that will highlight the features of the company’s automated machine learning platform.

Underwood’s presentation, “DataRobot: Designing a Successful Governed Citizen Data Science Strategy,” will take place on Wednesday, March 20 from 4:30 – 5:00 p.m. ET. The session will focus on the challenges enterprises face when attempting to democratize artificial intelligence (AI) within their organizations. Underwood will offer lessons learned from successful early adopters of augmented data science to empower attendees to create their own roadmaps, manage staffing and upskilling, and maintain ongoing governance.

“Organizations are increasingly recognizing the value of implementing AI and machine learning, but are still faced with several roadblocks during the adoption process,” said Underwood. “They either don’t know where to begin or how to properly empower citizen data scientists to avoid common AI mistakes. In this session, we will tackle all of those challenges head-on to give attendees the tools they need to put AI to work.”

The “DSML Bake-Off – Modern Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms” session will take place on Monday, March 18 from 4:15 – 5:45 p.m. ET. Moderated by Gartner Senior Director Analyst Carlie Idoine and VP Analyst Cindi Howson, the session will showcase three different approaches to data science and machine learning, including the automated approach pioneered by DataRobot, to offer audience members insight into key machine learning platform differentiators and strengths. This session comes on the heels of DataRobot’s debut in Gartner’s 2019 Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms, where it was named a Visionary and recognized for completeness of vision.

“It’s an incredible opportunity to display the power of DataRobot’s automated machine learning to an audience of business leaders eager to become more data-driven,” said Priest. “When done right, the possibilities and business value allowed by automated machine learning are truly endless, and I’m looking forward to giving Summit attendees insight into how we enable that for our customer base.”
