Seasoned healthcare technology strategist will direct DataRobot’s continued growth in this sector

Boston– May 23, 2019 – DataRobot, the leader in automated machine learning, today announced the appointment of Colleen Greene to General Manager (GM) of Healthcare. In her new role, Greene will focus on driving automated machine learning adoption in the healthcare industry. Drawing on her passion and experience in leveraging data and technology to improve healthcare, Greene will be instrumental in supporting DataRobot’s goal to enable every healthcare organization to become more AI-driven.

DataRobot enables healthcare organizations – such as payers, providers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers – to transform the billions of data points collected in electronic health records, clinical trials, and billings and claims processing into predictions that drive down costs, improve operations, and ultimately, save lives. The company’s automated machine learning platform has helped healthcare professionals drive critical operation efficiencies through benefits such as reducing readmissions, making accurate predictions about ICU utilization, determining which patients are less likely to adhere to prescribed drug regimens, and identifying potentially fraudulent payment activity. DataRobot currently works with a number of healthcare customers, including Blue Health Intelligence, Steward Health Care System LLC, and Symphony Healthcare LLC.

“There is so much opportunity to use AI and automated machine learning in healthcare to save lives, reduce costs, improve quality of care, enhance patient experiences, and make providers’ lives easier,” said Greene. “DataRobot has developed a platform that maximizes these opportunities for healthcare organizations, as evidenced by the company’s already impressive roster of healthcare and life sciences clients. This is an exciting time of transformation for the healthcare industry, and I am eager to help more organizations transform their business operations with the power of automated machine learning.”

Prior to joining DataRobot, Greene served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President for Strategic Business Operations at AbsoluteCARE, Inc., a multi-state, patient-centered ambulatory intensive care practice. Before that, she was the Director of Population Health and Emerging Technologies at Anthem, where she led multiple enterprise-level initiatives, including the development of new products, programs, and contracts to reduce healthcare costs, improve value-based metrics, and enhance the patient experience. While at Anthem, Greene also created and managed new value-based contracts, led a corporate-wide clinical data aggregation and interoperability project, drove a digital transformation effort, and helped build the company’s first data lake.

Greene started her career working on actuarial analytics and medical economics, clinical analytics, predictive modeling, cost savings analysis, program evaluation, and HEDIS & quality analytics at Johns Hopkins. She holds an M.B.A. from University of Maryland University College and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Western Kentucky University.

“Healthcare is an incredibly important industry for us, as the applications of automated machine learning specific to the sector have the potential to not only drive operational efficiencies, but also create life-changing results,” said Seann Gardiner, SVP of Business Development, DataRobot. “Having an expert like Colleen on the team will drive increased value and opportunities for healthcare organizations and the patients they care for.”
