DataRobot at the Gartner Data and Analytics Summit 2018
The Gartner Data & Analytics Summit starts next week (March 5-8 in Grapevine, TX), and I’m looking forward to hearing Gartner’s perspective on the key trends in our industry, meeting with customers and prospects, and re-connecting with industry colleagues over some great Texas barbecue.
The Data & Analytics Summit is also a great place to learn about new approaches to BI (Business Intelligence), data science, and all things analytics, while also providing an opportunity to demonstrate DataRobot’s powerful automated machine learning platform in a couple of different spots.
Your first chance to see DataRobot in action is on Sunday afternoon from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm during the “Innovative Analytics in Action: Emerging Trends You Need to Know” session. Gartner views automated machine learning (or as they call it – “augmented analytics”) as an innovative technology with the potential to disrupt the data science market, similar to how visual data discovery disrupted the traditional, report-centric BI platform market. Yong Kim, one of our expert Customer Facing Data Scientists, will explain the differences between automated and traditional approaches to data science and machine learning, and then will demo DataRobot live using a hospital patient readmission prediction challenge.
Additionally, DataRobot will be in booth #1103 during the exhibit showcase. At our booth, we can discuss how DataRobot is being used in your industry and deliver a personalized demo.
Gartner Exhibit Showcase:
- Monday, March 5: 4:45pm to 7:30pm
- Tuesday, March 6: 11:30am to 2:00pm, and 6:00pm to 8:00pm
- Wednesday, March 7: 11:30am to 2:00pm
If you see me at Sunday’s event or in the booth, please stop by and say “Hi.” And if you need a recommendation for some great Texas barbecue joints, let me know.
